Thank God for Prosecco, unpretentious and cheap
Those ingenious Italians, the rewards we do reap
Effervescent, fresh and charmingly dry
Just saying, Prosecco, the drink to get high
A glass full of bubbles, not sold at the Ritz
With a splash of liqueur, it makes a good spritz
Don't forget a Bellini, served in a flute
A dash of peach nectar, there’s no substitute
If you’ve not tried Mimosa, Prosecco with juice
Serve it at breakfast, guests won't refuse
I like it straight, in an icy cold glass
The Italian stuff only, because I’m all class
If you’ve underestimated the Prosecco on hand
The fridge is empty, the guests make a stand
Here’s a suggestion that might get you by
White wine and a Soda Stream, give it a try
